The Disclaimer

Standard disclaimer: All prices are taken from the websites of each chain, or from their printed Sunday advertisements. All prices are subject to change by each chain. Prices and inventory in-store may or may not match the website price.

I, obviously, cannot include EVERY title released in a given week in the RoundUp. The titles included are those that I am interested in...as well as those which I consider will be of interest to a majority of consumers (and sometimes I’ll miss one!). I don't get paid for this, and I don't have the time to list every DVD. So, please don't complain! If there is a title not included in the RoundUp that you want to see, PLEASE just look it up yourself, and be nice enough to post and share the results with everyone!

Note that I cannot include Wal-Mart/Sam’s Club prices in the RoundUp. They set prices at individual stores based on nearby competition, so there is no way I can say here what price you'll find at YOUR local Wal-Mart/Sam’s Club location. And, Circuit City is still out of business...even in Hawaii (where they NEVER guaranteed their prices anyway).

A film about a tortured painter at his work. Based on a novel by Irving Stone and starring one of Hollywood's top leading men.

And it's NOT The Agony and The Ecstasy. Instead it's Kirk Douglas in Lust For Life, a biopic about Vincent Van Gogh. Costarring Anthony Quinn as Paul Gauguin.

Impressionist painters raced to finish their paintings.

Pope: When will you make an end?

Vincent: Oh, about 4:30 today.

Thanks for the Roundup, Mike!

The Disappearance of Eleanor Rigby was good in theaters and I really want to see the two other cuts of it that are on the Blu-ray, but $24.99 is too much. If Amazon makes a happy price error later this week like they did with The Judge on Friday, I'm in, otherwise I'll wait for a drop.

Dear White People was hilarious and really well-made and anyone even slightly interested should rent it, although I'm not sure if I'll get it.

About Schmidt is actually only $8.69 for the Blu-ray on Amazon and has been for the past several days. I've never actually seen the movie but at that price, and being somewhat of a fan on Nicholson, I've been considering a blind buy.

Me, too...plus the new Diana Krall CD. Amazon has an exclusive release.

Wondering about Lust for Life.
There's a new Diana Krall CD? I did not know that. I'll have to check that out.

Nothing from the new releases, but I may have to see what's on the Target $10 shelf later in the week (aka payday).

It's a depressing film to me, but Nicholson was good in it.

The other reason it is tempting me, is the director Alexander Payne. I absolutely loved Sideways, The Descendants, and Nebraska.

Thanks as always for the RoundUp!

I'm expecting The Best of Me for review at some point this week.

Looking forward to seeing the gorgeously colorful Lust for Life in high def.

I guess I'll see if I can find a $10 "Rio 2" Blu at Target.

Other than that, the "Bob Newhart"'s look tempting ....

Anyway, thanks, Mike, for the Round-Up, as usual!

Thanks for passing that on, David. From that list, I don't see anything I "must" have...but I can always talk myself into something...

Those are all Blu? Or just the bolded titles? Thanks

No, those should all be Blurays. The bolded titles are just some of the newer.

Some of the titles apparently aren't ringing up $10 though less complaints today than yesterday.

There is a Cartwheel Discount for at least Begin Again, SLP, and I think a couple of the older titles

to bring them down a bit further.

Some folks were saying Boxtrolls Blu was ringing up higher in store, but it's $10 on Target.com and

Amazon so worst case just have them fix the price.

It's definitely the same style, but despite being marketed as a semi-comedy, its story is much more depressing than any of those. As a Payne fan, you'll want to see it, but I'm not sure that you'll want to see it more than once.
