The complete series of Brian Clemens' UK cult show Thriller (1973-76), will be out in R1 come April 14. A&E released only the first season a decade ago and nothing more since then, now VEI will handle and serve it better. It's also out in full in R2 and R4 territories already, and now finally in North America.

Thanks for the updates, I will work through the list and add them in.

Is it possible to post info on Doctor Who, I looked on Wikipedia and this show has had tons of releases which I can't make heads or tails of. They appear to be volume releases but I can't figure out whether all episodes from the original series have been released.

This set has 3 episodes from series 1 and 3 from series 2 as well as two films. I think I will leave this as is since this release is from another distributor and is OOP. I wonder why the BBC has not released the first two series?!

Thanks.

You're welcome.

Those "films" in the LOTSW "Pink set" are actually the 1983 Christmas Special (Disc 1) which follows series 7, and the first 3 episodes of series 1 edited together to make a "feature film" (Disc 2). Disc 4 of that set is the 2nd half of series 1 and Disc 3 is the first 3 episodes of the 7 episode series 2. Yeah... it's a mess. According to Michael's Movie Mahem that set is still in print. I'd love to see the BBC do a updated release of these episodes and include the 4 missing ones from series 2.

Then there's The World at War, which will probably turn up when you do documentaries. It has lots of fans, though I can't say I'm one of them. It just seemed too clinical, and I swear that narrator Laurence Olivier must have been charging his monotone rate.

The best way to do Doctor Who is "All 139 surviving serials (of 159), 1963-1989", TV Movie (1996)

I think that's roughly accurate... I did a quick count of the Hartnell and Troughton DVDs and that added up to 30 serials released. There were 50 serials between those two eras. So do the math.

/and that's also leaving out the Underwater Menace, which is a partially surviving serial that is supposed to be finished with animation and released this year.

Oh, and the latest I, Claudius release is from Acorn.

I believe that I've seen a DVD release of At Last The 1948 Show available at one of the local stores.

I'm not sure if any of The Goodies has been released in Region 1, but it might be worth investigating.

ONE sampler disk came out in the early 00's, and, apart from a generation that sentimentally remembers it being shown in the same time slot as the first Python airings...it hasn't aged well.

Still available at Amazon along with the one 1948 sampler, and the Terry Jones/Michael Palin "half" of Do Not Adjust Your Set, but they won't be there forever.

For the children's-show list--and on the subject of Adjust's David Jason--only the first two seasons and original pilot movie of the stop-motion Wind in the Willows were ever put out by A&E in the US, although the complete series was streaming on Netflix at one point.

Weren't there US releases for:

Man In A Suitcase

Jason King

The Secret Service

Jonathan Creek

Midsomer Murders

Foyles War

Inspector Morse

Lewis

Broadchurch

Life On Mars

I'm sure there are many many more

Neither of The Avengers shows can be classified as sci-fi.

Yeah, but he limited his list to 1950s-1990s shows, So Life On Mars, Broadchurch, Call The Midwife, Foyle's War, Doc Martin... too new.

/and yeah, all had R1 releases.

I just noticed your listing for Last of the Summer Wine is missing quite a few of the BBC releases. The BBC has released Series 3 through 23 with Series 24 coming out 2/3/15.

That is an error, it should read 'Series 3-23'. It has been corrected. New releases will be added as they are released as per my monthly updates.

The original can. Either can go in several locations depending on your mood.

IMDB lists the genres for The Avengers as: Action | Comedy | Crime | Mystery | Sci-Fi | Thriller and The New Avengers as Action | Mystery | Thriller.

Yes that is the correct category as that is what both are predominantly .As someone else has said they do veer into sci fi territory for some episodes but in general crime is more accurate

All Creatures Great and Small isn't on DVD?

The World at War is on DVD, if documentaries count. Never was too fond of this one though where classic WWII documentaries go.
