My communications with SFM about the Wyatt Earp TV series release put me in contact with someone at Allied Vaughn. After that I decided to look them up to see how they fit into the equation. It looks like they are behind, if not all, the majority of MOD titles (creation through distribution). Even the replicated titles on WB Archive that Allied Vaughn calls MOD-2.

In any case, I found it interesting to skim the website to see what the company was about and who they service.

Here is a link that lists companies they service (e.g., WB Archive, Universal, Fox, Sony, MGM, TCM, CBS, Disney, VCI),

It would appear they have this market pretty well cornered.

I wonder how many jobs they have on American soil, versus, say, a job-outsourcing approach?

Of course, even many pressed discs (or at least their the packaging) say "made in Mexico".

Allied Vaughn is located in Itasca, Il. in the same industrial park as Critic's Choice and CC's former owner Infinity.

That is quite interesting. So, the former HQ of Deep Discount?

I literally live a block away from there.

Looks like there's room for another company to come in - not even Technicolor was the only lab in town in the film days - especially if they are having delays and can't handed the demand.
