Does anyone know who might be holding the rights to release the following on Blu-ray, either domestically or internationally?

LUST FOR A VAMPIRE

QUATERMASS II

SCARS OF DRACULA

These were all, I believe, released on DVD by Anchor Bay, but are impossible to find now.

I know that Sony, Universal and Warner Bros. hold the majority of unreleased titles here in the US, but maybe in the UK things are different.

Unless I somehow missed it I don't believe Quatermass II was released on DVD in the US. I still have it on Laserdisc along with X-The Unknown.

These 3 films were not distributed by the big studios so I would think they are up for grabs on blu probably a matter of how much Hammer wants for the rights.

They seem like good candidates for Synapse, Blu Underground or maybe Scream Factory.

I believe Studio Canal own the UK rights to Lust for A Vampire . It was originally released on video by Thorn EMI who's catalogue was swallowed up by SC some time ago .

In the early days of dvd SC licenced titles to Warner in the UK and Anchor Bay in the US.

LFAV was also licenced to partner up with The Vampire Lovers on a UK dvd too.

Scars of Dracula was also licenced from SC so lookout for possible Australian dvd releases from Shock who licenced a lot of SC Hammer titles.

I wouldn't be confident of any UK releases . SC seem to have taken criticism of their earlier Bluray releases to heart and have scrapped anymore for the time being.

There is a slim possibility that Network might be able to release them . They have an agreement with SC that , for the moment at least is confined to the SC tv archive and mostly pretty old movies but perhaps if SC decide not to bother Network might be able to add them to the ITV Hammer movies they've already released.

I'm assuming that SC might own Q2 aswell because Shock included it as a bonus feature albeit in SD on their Bluray of The Quatermass Experiment.

Despite Q2 and X-The Unknown showing as 1080i they are most definitely from SD sources unlike the main feature

All the Synapse Hammer titles are from ITV.

Shout/Scream also have a deal for a lot of ITV titles both tv shows and movies.

That is the UK release of Q2. ( or it was when I first clicked on it)

But AB did release it in the US too as I have the disc myself

Edit - very odd . Sometimes clicking on the link in Peters original post I'm getting taken to Amazon UK and the UK dvd listing. But the link in my quote goes to .COM . Weird

I used to have the blu ray with the 2 Quatermass movies and X. Not impressed really. Now I have the Kino blu ray and hopefully one studio will eventually get Quatermass II. Part III (the Pit) I have the Studio Canal Import and it is one of the best looking blurays that I have actually :D

The UK disc is one of Studio Canals rare successes. You should get that.

It is Region B but if you have a Panasonic player you'll be able to play it anyway via the menu trick

Studio Canal's Region B Quatermass and the Pit really is wonderful. It's what prompted me to buy a region-free BDP-103.
