blu-ray release of "The Ipcress File"?

I believe the transfers (both releases are by ITV/Network) are the same but the region b locked version has different (better) encoding.

Absolutely! This and COLOSSUS: THE FORBIN PROJECT and ICEMAN on Blu-ray.

Unfortunately, Universal is doing diddly-squat with catalog right now, and these titles don't seem to be prime material for Criterion to license.
