Before I buy the wrong thing.... (1 Viewer)

Is there a need to distinguish between bluetooth adapters for TV versus something else? (like just audio, or for a computer/laptop?)

I ask as I'm thinking of buying several of these:

Supposedly, the item above is a class 2 product (65 ft reception.) and has the latest v2.1 + EDR compliant driver.


My goal is to have good bluetooth setup for this item to use w/ TV or a set of headphones or such for the same application:

I have a plug on my car stereo for a cable to use w/ my phone for music, but will this item below negate the need for the cable? Do they work well??


edit: so maybe I should have just said "what" I need: I want to use a bluetooth headset device, of some kind, either the LG one I already own, or the headset shown in the link above, with my TV .... AND also my laptop. Do I need two different kinds? Any links w/ some clarification is appreciated!

To use bluetooth, one item needs to confirm.

A bluetooth adapter for analog output uses the other end to confirm. If your headset can confirm...

Ok, so no need to distinguish between PC/laptop/ TV as far as the actual adapter is concerned?
