Shocking news to me is that the Star Wars Prequels are going to be shown in 3D at the Star Wars Celebration in Anaheim on April 16-19, 2015.

The big question is the possible release of these films on blu-ray 3D in the USA. We can only hope that the Disney Star Wars division has the same atonomy that the Disney Marvel division has in deciding how to release their films. If Disney Home Video is calling the shots we will see their chosen rejection of blu-ray 3D continue as can be shown by the upcoming release of Big Hero 6, which looked great in 3D at theaters but will NOT be released in 3D for home viewing in the US. I'm sure Disney Home Video is pleased to see all the reports of the death of 3D coming from reporters at the current CES to justify their brilliant decision to end home 3D here in the US. Maybe we will be able to import if there is a future Star Wars Prequel blu-ray 3D release.
