I am surprised that I've not seen this mentioned here. Amazon just announced via email that Kiss Me Kate is coming March 3 for $17.99 from Warner. It's time to Brush up your Shakespeare!

Also the 4-disk boxset (with Band Wagon, Calamity Jane and Singin') has been preorder-available for some months now, and pretty near the price of the solo disk.

As for the "But does it have the 3D disk?" debate, think that was also pretty well resolved in favor of it being a one-disk to begin with.

That's the same date as the group release mentioned in Joel's link.

The Warner Musicals Collection: Kiss Me Kate, Calamity Jane, Band Wagon and Singin' In The Rain. Amazon currently has it for $27.99.

But this is the first I've heard of news of the release of just Kiss Me Kate. Getting the other films for just $10 more is a no-brainer. And I actually pre-ordered when the four film set was listed for $24.49.

Ok I'm out of touch, but the ad from Ron's announcement thread looks like KMK is 2D only and the 3D version is separate.

As we said in the other thread, Warners has put their other two classic 3D film releases (House of Wax and Dial 'M' for Murder) on the same disc as the 2D version. I'd be willing to make a pretty hefty wager that Kiss Me Kate will be the same, and that the notation that says "Also available in 3D" means not a separate release but that both versions are on the same disc.

Maybe someone can clarify from Warner.
Oh lord, not this again.
The 3D solo disk as listed in the OP is a one-disk hybrid (at least that's what Amazon says), therefore it's HIGHLY unlikely they'd have pressed a different one for the set.
It'd be too expensive for Warner not to be cheap.

That may be true.

But I don't think it's unreasonable for someone to want to be sure. No need for exasperation from where I sit.
