Hello,I have had an Epson model 5010 for about two years and have been very happy with it.However, about 2000 or so hours into the original factory lamp a fluctuation in the ECO mode brightness began to happen. No matter if paused or during "play".I figured it was due to the hours on the lamp and it did not happen in the normal mode so I swtiched to that. When that lamp died I got the new one and a few hours into that the detectable ECO mode dimming happened all over again.Has anyone experience this with theirs and what can be done? Should I be woried about my model 5010???Most of my viewing is in ECO mode.
Again, this does NOT happen in normal brightness mode. Thanks in advance and Happy Holidays!

I'd contact Epson. But, fluctuating brightness has always plagued Epson. I don't follow LCD projectors to know the root cause.

After looking it up, apparently one way to mitigate it is to connect the Epson to a Pure Sine Wave UPS. Apparently the power supplies pulse based on AC fluctuation.Unbelievable in modern electronics.(By the way, I've never installed a projector without a UPS. If the house has a whole home UPS...I'll still use one depending on how long the whole home back up is)
