I have most of my audio set up as follows: PS3(hdmi) -> receiver, BD player(hdmi) -> receiver, cable box(RCA/hdmi adapter) -> receiver, and I have my receiver(hdmi out) - > TV(hdmi in). This seems to work, but how do I get audio from my TV(i.e. if I want to connect my usb to my tv there's no audio). I was thinking of using Digital optical cable running from my TV to my receiver's "TV input". Would this work? I was wondering if that optical cable for the tv would work with the HDMI from receiver going into TV. Thank you

Yes, that is how you do it. Just be aware that for most (all?) TV's, the digital out will output 5.1 only from the internal apps/tuners. All external sources will be converted to stereo (assuming it passes them at all).
