I'm really looking forward to this release. I always liked Hooper when I saw it back in the day. It's one of the titles I could never understand WB not giving a proper DVD release to - the full frame idea never appealed to me.

One of the few Burt Reynolds films and the ONLY Hal Needham film I can tolerate. I really like this film. Gorgeous Sally Field, funny Robert Klein, cool stunts, and a rather terrific view of behind-the-scenes Hollywood. I'm all-in.

My copy arrived today. Looking forward to watching this and retiring the old DVD.

Now, where's the BD of Smokey & the Bandit 2? :)

There much better Burt Reynolds movies who ought to come out than "Smokey and the Bandit 2" ;) .

Hooper is still one hell of a lot of fun! Hooper and Sharky's Machine both look and sound very good on blu-ray. Way better than I expected. If you have any interest in them at all, you can't go wrong for $9 each.
