I found this forum while looking for what sound system to buy. I have recently created a new space for the TV (I don't think I could properly call it a Home Theater). Me and my kid enjoy watching movies but the sound of a flat screen is definitely not very good. I was looking to buy a sound bar and am prepared to invest around 1 thousand usd if necessary. If any one has suggestions or where in the forum to look for help I would appreciate it greatly.

Hi Sylvia and welcome to the HTF!
I would pose a question about the soundbar in our Speakers forum. You will want to be prepared to talk about your "space." It's dimensions...what kind of seating you have, etc.
Because I can bet that some of our members will be peppering you with questions about maybe buying a 3.1 sound system or maybe even a 51 surround sound system.
The good audio really enhances the entire movie-watching experience.
