Copy and paste from another site, but I'm sure he doesn't mind
A lot of old favorites coming up today since Amazon US is asleep. Some nice deals on Complete or multi season boxes and I guess we'll see on Maleficent 3D what the deal is. Many others coming up as well, but some of these are known items.Amazon UK Lightning Deals on DVD/Blurays A bunch of nice Region Free Bluray boxsets in the Amazon UK Lightning deals coming up and as usual they are repeating a few from earlier for those who missed. I'm pretty sure most of these do not have 50HZ problems so they are completely compatible with US equipment, but I didn't check them all. Many them are Warner releases who has generally been clean for US equipmentFriends Complete is up now for around $75USD shipped -- not the best deal, but US lowest is around $90-- 1:10pm ESTUniversal Monsters Boxset -- earlier this week was $27 of soArrow S 1 and 2World at War2:10pm ESTMaleficent 3DBigBangTheory S1 -7Suits S1-33:10pm ESTBattlestar Galactica Complete (was a little than $40 the last time)Star Wars Complete SagaVampire Diaries S1-5True Blood S1-7Pirates of Caribbean 1-4Quick Payment primer for those who haven't used UK site:
1) You can use your regular Amazon account and all the information should be shared
2) You can't use Amazon US Gift Card or Amazon Credits on the UK site3) You can check out in GBP or USD, but it you allow Amazon to convert to USD for you they will use a padded exchange rate compared toletting your bank do it for use. The built in surcharge is usually around 4% compared to most US Credit Cards that will bump you 1 to 3% in Foreign Exhange Fee (Forex), If you have a CC that doesn't charge Forex fees then that it's significantly cheaper -- all Capital One cards are free, many Chase and Amex premium (annual fee) cards are as well, Discover is Forex free but Amazon doesn't accept.4) I don't know if UK will bundle items into a single package if you buy them all the same day like Amazon usually does. If they do, then that may save you shipping and make it even cheaper. Std UK shipping to US is around $5 for the first item and $1.60 for each added.Recently they have gone back to using Royal Mail for most shipping which has no tracking, but normal delivery time is around 5-10 business days. In the past, holiday traffic has been slower
5) Amazon Prime is only for domestic shipping so it won't be Free Shipping.
6) Unlike regular UK buys, for Lightning Deals the VAT is removed before they discount Deal price so you won;t get the extra saving, but the overall prices here are general about as good as or better than any previous prices at least on the items I've checked -- all teh prices are known yet.
