Verizon FiOS On Demand has joined UltraViolet? (1 Viewer)

I was going through the On Demand section on My Verizon FiOS TV service & I noticed a bunch of the new movie releases have an UltraViolet logo under them.The Verizon FiOS On Demand website also shows movies with a UV logo: https://www.verizon.com/Ondemand/Movies/AllHas this been officially announced yet?

Im not sure but I thought it had been in the works for some time though. This is great news for those who purchase movies digitally via EST.

Maybe this is one of the Major Retailers that the Lionsgate CEO said would be debuting UV soon.

It looks like Comcast is about to offer UV capability on its VOD service.

This will be a big year for UltraViolet. Soon, I think most every major retailer will support UV. Verizon, Comcast, Amazon, Sony Entertainment Network (Playstation) and maybe even XBOX Media Store will support it.

This article says Comcast is the number 2 EST provider behind iTunes, on a title by title basis. And that they were seriously looking at offering UV in the future. That's incredible. When they go UltraViolet, that will be a huge boost to the platform. If you add Amazon to the mix, you could then call UV a real standard.
