I just have trouble accepting that the stories of Telltale's best games are great even though they are buggy and terrible to actually play.

The legion of GOTY awards that TWD got seem to indicate otherwise Morgan. I've never had any of their games bug on me. It may not be your cup of tea but that's an entirely different argument than what you are making. I grew up on Kings Quest and the like, what Telltale have done with these games is an incredible update and streamlining of that legacy.

I like adventure games and I had a lot of fun with the Monkey Island remakes on PS3. One of my favorite games of all time is Shadowgate for the NES. But the Telltale games, going back to Sam & Max, are not exactly technical achievements. The best feature of The Walking Dead was the story and how well written/told it was, combined with the ability to make choices. But, then again, The Walking Dead is a pretty good franchise and setting for that kind of thing. For every TWD, Telltale has a Jurassic Park or Back to the Future or Strong Bad. I only played TWD Season 1 until the end of episode 2 or 3. While the story was really interesting, the game was a pain to play and really quite annoying.

The mechanics in the games are not that great, they are notorious for issues with transferring saves between episodes (if they're not all bought at once), and the graphics, while stylistic, can sometimes be a little too spartan. I mean, I get that they're probably actually producing the episodes in order and very quickly before release, but it REALLY shows.

So while the stories may be great and the setting/character pool from Game of Thrones may be great, I'm really skeptical on the overall quality of the final product.

Dammit don't be like me!

I bought the game from GMG like I have every other Telltale game and when it won't take my key I realize that it's not a fooing steam key but their own incompatible system. I doubt GMG is gonna refund me either, cause I assumed....

It's not season 3, it's a mini-season. Only 3 episodes, takes place between a bunch of the comics to explain what she did when she left the main story.

PS Plus has the Telltale bundle (Wolf, WD 1 & 2, Borderlands, & GoT) on sale for $27.50 this week. Note that WD 2 was one of the free games last month.

I've only played Walking Dead one so far, and got the second season to play on the PS4. I think the saves transfer over, even if you played on the PS3? There was also some additional eps in between the two that I haven't played. I don't know if that effects anything. My only gripe with the game is if you choose a side in some argument, your option will be "I think we should move on" and the result if you're super aggressive and killing someone or something else extreme that wasn't your intention at all.

Only other one of theirs I played was that Back to The Future one on the PS3. It was more annoying than fun.

I saw at the PS Experiance thing that remakes of LucasArts classic DAY OF THE TENTACLE, FULL THROTTLE and another one are going to be coming out to join GRIM FANDANGO. I might give those ones a spin.
