I always look forward to it and usually find 2-3 deals but last year was a bit of a bummer. This year is looking pretty great for TV deals and if you are in the market for an Xbox One the deals are bursting from the seams.

I wouldnt have even posted a thread but it looks like Amazon is gonna have a sweet deal on a 55" 4K TV for $899. Pretty juicy if you want a set that small.

Thanks, Sam!

I'm surprised someone didn't start one of these threads sooner!

Here's a nugget from that Amazon link you posted above:
Up to 58% off 11,000+ popular movies and TV shows including X-Men: Days of Future Past, Friends: The Complete Series, Downton Abbey, and more
Sounds like Amazon is really going to be stepping things up this week...starting as early as tonight!

Target has a bunch of movies on blu that I'm interested in (Captain Philips, Edge of Tomorrow, Man of Steel, Wolf of Wall St. Lone Survivor) for $6, Walmart has the new Godzilla blu for $8 and Best Buy has Django Unchained blu for $4, 21 jump St DVD for $2. I hope to get these or at least some of them.

I don't like Amazon's hourly deals since I don't have prime, too hard to snag those deals with the free shipping option.

Thanks for the alert, Cameron. Just ordered all 6 seasons of Next Generation. I had them sent to my daughter's house and I'll pick them up from her when we're in the States in March.

I only needed to get season 2, but it kinda makes me wish I had waited on the rest.

Today's Amazon deal is the entire Blu-Ray extended version of the Lord of the Rings trilogy for $29.xx. Good until tonight at Midnight PST.

Edit: Oops, posted above. Still a heck of a deal.

Stepping up, picked their foot off the pedal and shifted right into neutral.

Almost no Bluray deals at all and no calender of upcoming deals to even know if they're going to have anything for later.
Amazon UK has had constant movie deals on their Lightning Dea;s, amazon US hasn't had a single item for 2 days and counting.

The only thing they seem to be doing for 95% of the items is partially PM other stores -- sorry but I already bought all their PM
that I wanted at the other store before they deemed it reasonable to lower the price. I pay sales tax at Amazon like the majority of the
US and I get RZ points at BBY or 5% Red Card discount at Target so it's now cheaper there.

I'm not sure if it's just plain complaciency or they think they completely beaten all the other retailers and they don;t have to
try anymore, but I used to be huge supporter of Amazon (Prime from almost Day 1), but my purchases there are 10% of what they were 3 years ago. I was checking my last 18 months of BD purchases, Amazon is 8th and falling on my $$$ spent list.

One pretty good deal on Season 1 STTNG, a good deal on the Downton Abbey Boxset in their DOTD are all I can find that they've come up with. The LOTR box is a good price as their single BD offer, but I suspect like many others we bought that 3 1/2 years ago so that doesn't help.

I was wondering if I was missing something. I'm used to getting good movie/TV deals from Amazon rather than trying to battle brick and mortar crowds. The virtual ones may be fast, but they are pretty well behaved.

I have a Sony BDP-S185, it was cheap and it's pretty crappy. It's the first player I bought where the buttons on the player broke and I never used them that much. I won't buy another cheap Sony.

I'm missing the calendar, honestly, this year. It was really helpful last year in organizing my Thanksgiving weekend (sad as that sounds). I was ordering stuff sitting in the theater watching Frozen. This year, Amazon seems to have forgotten everything they did previously. Which is good for me...I'm saving a ton of money...but bad for them because I doubt many people will be sitting by their computers waiting to hit buy.

Oh well.

EDIT: I did find the movie calendar. It's really sparse and nowhere near as complete as last year's. Blech. :)

Have to agree. While I was excited to get the LOTR BD set because I'm the guy that didn't have it, looking forward very disappointing. Best Buy looks to have some decent BF deals on some titles we don't have though. I usually wait on some titles knowing they will be BF scores. Don't buy as many as I used to either don't have time to watch the ones I have.
