Hey,
I have bought a Samsung UE48H8000 and I am struggling to get it to output the audio to my Marantz PM5003. This worked with my previous TV with little issue therefore I am finding it hard to locate the problem I am having. I am not very good with all of the terminology so I apologise in advance.
I have connected the Red and White cable to the AUX/DVD port on the back of the PM5003, which is where it has always been. Then I have connected the opposite end of the cable into the only ports available on the back of the Samsung TV. I have also played around with the sound settings of the TV but with no luck. My previous TV did have an output audio port and an input audio port, whereas this Samsung is just labelled as "Audio" so I am not sure if this has anything to do with it.
Unfortunately, my amp does not support Optical Cables or HDMI therefore these "red and white" wires are all that are available to me (as far as I know). I also own a CD5003 and I have swapped wires to play a CD to find out if it was the wires that were damaged, but all of the sound works as normal.
I think I have covered everything. If anyone has any information or solution to the problem I am having, I would appreciate it greatly.
Thanks.
