Denon DBP-1611UD will not play 3D Blurays (1 Viewer)

I have looked at the owners manual and have gone through the setting on the player and on the tv and nothing. The player is supposed to play 3D and the disc will not even load. I have only recently purchased two 3D titles and the player was recently updated via direct internet connection. I am wondering if the new update changed something internally which caused this issue? How many people here own this player and have you been able to watch 3D movies on this player. I am also going to go to Denon and ask them about this issue.

Connect the Denon directly to the display.(You have the SC 05, correct?)

Yes I have the SC-05. I have tested 3D using Direct TV playing a 3D trailer and it worked going through the SC-05. And since the player only has one hdmi out how would I get the audio from the player especially lossless. I will try it and see if the player works and loads the title.

Interesting as plugging it into the tv directly does help and the 3D did work and looks really good. Yet another reason to save cash for a new receiver. I could have sworn it worked with direct tv but maybe I was mistaken. Thank you for the input Sam, I should have thought to try hooking it directly. I was going to stop buying 3D content but seeing that it does work and that it is the receiver interfering with the 3D. I guess I will have to put up with running a digital cable back to the receiver and hooking up the player directly to the tv just for 3D titles till I upgrade my receiver. Something now that can not happen to soon.

Need to keep researching new receivers and more importantly come up with the money for the new receiver!
