I currently use an HTC DNA (android phone) and the only real fault I have found with it is as follows... the problem occurs after I join a wifi network.

If, after successfully connecting to a wifi network, I find myself in a position where the phone can see the network but the connection is very weak (or the network's internet access just dies), the phone will continue trying to use wifi and not switch over to cell data. The result being the phone acts like it has no data connection.

In short, the phone just doesn't switch over quick enough from a bad wifi connection to cell data for my tastes. On the DNA, I work around this problem by having a widget on the home screen that turns off wifi with the touch of a button. However, I won't have that option with the iPhone (if the problem exists).

Has anyone experienced something like this? I don't recall having the problem with my iPhone 4 but that was awhile ago.

Keith: Not sure how helpful this answer will be, but I use a 4S and run into that problem all the time...especially when using public WiFi spots that are problematic (hospital, shopping mall, etc.).

When I manually go into Settings and disengage WiFi, it is always clear sailing.

Which forces me then to have to remember to turn the WiFi back on later (which I don't always remember to do). Fortunately, I don't push my data usage all that much.

I've noticed this with my iPhone 5 when I'm out in my yard. My house has steel siding and the wi-fi signal outside the house is quite weak. I don't know if I've experienced it yet with my 6+ or not.

I've seen that on my iPhone 4 and 5s. It's not normally a practical problem when it happens. It's usually with an airport or restaurant wifi. If it's causing problems, I'll 'forget' the wifi network to force a disconnect.

There are times my LG G3 will stop sending/receiving data...no clue why. No amount of messing with data on/off, hot spot on/off or wifi on/off wakes it up. Have to restart it...Seems to happen the most when slumming along on a 3G network, then a 4G comes along stronger...it can't make its' own leap...
