I purchased the receiver off CL and hooked everything up and the rt front input has a lot of static in it. I hooked up the speaker to another input and it works so I know it's not the speaker. I took the back cover off and didn't see anything noticeable. I removed the plug and replaced it with the surround rt, only using a 5.1 setup, and it still doesn't work. Any suggestions or is it trash?

If you can get the receipt, it has a warranty. Unless it was a refurb.Did you not audition it?

As always, try and do a factory reset. Probably won't help but you won't know if you don't try it.
If it's in the processing section then I don't know what to say. Someone pulled a fast one on you. It happens.
If the problem is the main right front amplifier channel then try switching the Surround Back channels to Bi-Amp mode and run the Fronts off the SB's. Again, might not work either but you never know.
