This is very disappointing if true they were if nothing else getting consistent with the correct aspect ratios on the 60's, 70's and 80's releases and now a step backward to VHS days. As much as I wanted this title on Blu, I'll stick with my DVD if this is true. Nothing is cut off or missing when shown at 1:33, correct? I know the UK version was also 1:33. <br /> <br /> This argument seems the reverse of what was discussed with 'Shane' where people were upset that the blu ray was originally going to be released cropped to 1:66 or 1:75 as it was shown at the movies in 1953/54. People were upset it wasn't going to be released at 1:33 as it was produced. By the time it was re-released in 1979, this had changed to 1.75:1 (the 1969 re-release did not come with a recommended ratio). Was the earlier ratio recommendation a mistake? I don't know. But I have heard something about the film starting out as a TV movie production rather than theatrical, but I've never had confirmation if that's true or not.<br /> <br /> <i>"MR.
