When they finally finish this (Hopefully Reach follows ODST), I hope they release a truly complete edition on two discs.

You know, Microsoft/343 can thank Bungie for me not being more pissed off about the fact that apparently MCC is still broken. To be honest, I gave the game the first week or two after release, just enjoying the campaign version since multiplayer was severely broken. Apparently months later, it's still not fixed. Luckily Destiny stepped in to fill the void. If they don't fix multiplayer by Halo 5, then it's time to just await Destiny 2 and leave Master Chief intact in my fond memory banks of the Xbox/360 days.

The reviews for 5 seem to be that the story campaign is awful, but the changes to the gameplay and multiplayer are so good that they overrule the story.

True, but honestly Halo stories aren't that great, in general. The lore is bonkers, and not in what I think of as "a good way."

It's kind of like Call of Duty. Yeah, there's a story and all, but people play the games for so long because of the multiplayer.

I've had a 360 since the beginning, but Halo is another game I've never played. I tend to go for different styles of games, I suppose.. but we went ahead and bought Halo5.

The one thing I'm curious about before I dive into it.. I tried Titanfall, and the moment I realized there was absolutely no story/campaign, I lost all interest. I don't care to ever play online, I don't like playing in teams/against others/whatever because it's mostly just kids cursing and I find it too annoying.. but a game with a great story gets me.

So, games like Uncharted, Last of Us, Tomb Raider, Dragon's Age, DIshonored, etc. were all huge hits here.. how good is the story mode in Halo?

That's a matter of opinion Matt. I have enjoyed all the Halo single player campaign immensely. Just bought Halo 5 but haven't started it yet.

Btw, Titanfall is great. Yes it's multiplayer only but I have my setting set so I only hear friends so basically I treat the public like ai. No cursing [emoji12]

Nothing should overrule the story. It should be first and foremost when developing a game.

A little something called gameplay isn't the most important thing in a videogame?

Close but I'll take story first. For example The Last Of Us. Imo the best video game ever made. And that's because of the story, not its gameplay ( which was also great).

The installation time for XBOX1 games is f'ing ridiculous. Halo 5 has been installing for at least an hour already and it is only at 23%. It's brutal.
