I'm a new member to this forum, looking reviews for BIC DV32-80 5.1 Speaker System

Above system includes:

4Pieces of DV32 Mini speakers
1 DV32 CLR center speaker
1 BIC V80 Subwoofer

And can someone please tell me if i have to choose between them and Boston Acoustics XS 5.1 which one should i go for because price of both is almost in my country [India].

Which one of them has better bass and clarity ?

I will be using these speakers to watch movies n music in 40/60 Ratio.

Thanks in advance,

Wow, NOBODY responded. I often search for reviews on the Bic DV-32 speakers, finding many mostly positive customer reviews. However, no reviews from audio and home theater sites seem to exist. Micca and Dayton, the hot budget speakers of the moment, get write-ups on major forums. Not sure why these little Bics have been ignored, especially considering the $40 price of the center, and $50 for the bookshelf pair. I love mine, having recently downsized back from Andrew Jones Pioneers. These are heavy, quality speakers that still surprise me with their clarity while watching movies or listening to music.

I like the BIC DV32's quite a bit especially for smaller HT speakers. The problem with them is they really need a sub to round out the sound. The Micca MB42(x) and the Dayton B652 don't have to have a sub but definitely benefit from pairing with one. I haven't heard the Dayton's but I know the MB42x sound great on their own till you get into the deeper (think 70Hz ish or lower) bass. The DV32's really start to run out of steam at about the 100 mark so you do miss a good bit more. I think the lack of reviews on the DV32 is due to the fact they are limited to HT or a 2.1 speaker as opposed to a stereo set. Can you use them in stereo...sure but most folks wouldn't want to. I've tested them and if you're only an acoustic/jazz guy you might could do it but you're missing the richness of the low end for sure.

The DV32 has also been around 20 years. Finding reviews that old isn't easy.

I don't think you'll find many reviews of the 52 either.

I'm really tempted to try the Miccas! I wish I had jumped when the price was lower. May commit to one of the open box deals on Amazon. In fact, I talked myself out of a purchase yesterday, asking myself how much better they could be than the Bics.

I own both...they are both good speakers (that's just my opinion). How much better is so subjective...I happen to like the Micca's sound so for me it's worth it. I think the value comes in the fact the Micca's don't need a sub (again subjective...I run a sub with mine) but the DV32's do. If you did an A/B with just the speakers I bet you would like the Micca's better. If you were to add the sub into the mix the difference becomes less apparent but is still noticeable.
