Done.

Thanks immensely for releasing this! I haven't seen it for decades.
And add my voice to those hoping for a release of Russian Adventure!

I'm in for this but is this ONLY a smilebox release? It was originally shot flat in 70mm (todd-70) and then re-edited and released in bastard Cinerama a few years later, yes? Won't the smilebox process in this case ADD distortion that didn't originally exist rather than correct the perceived distortion of showing the three panel system on a flat screen?

We are sticking to what people actually saw in the Cinerama and Cinemiracle theaters for Holiday In Spain - as thats the version we have not Scent of Mystery version. If we had Scent of Mystery we would do only Letterbox to be true to the original flat screenings. By the Way the Todd Family approves of Smilebox use on this Holiday In Spain release.

A second flat disc would be nice and I would pay a little extra for that. As it is these releases do not really work very well on my scope screen as they have an aspect ratio of ca. 2.2 to 2.5 in the middle and ca. 2.0 at the edges. I however think that more people prefer it in smilebox and the budget is certainly tight so with only one version being made available it is smilebox only.

I don't have a screen, just project on to a wall. The smilebox version is always larger than the letterboxed so it creates a more immersive experience.

A good friend of mine and I used to try to see big-negative films when we were kids. We were unable to see either Scent of Mystery or Holiday in Spain at all.

I was finally able to see it in DCP at the Cinerama festival of 2012 at the dome.

So, I have ordered two copies, and will be sending one to him.

Ordered!

The first time I clicked through the link, the way the title was worded, it seemed like it was a soundtrack CD and not a video Blu-Ray. I went to Flicker Alley to see if they had the blu-ray. Then I came back to SAE and figured it out. (But I just may be dumb.)

David, will yourself or SAE keep us abreast of when this starts running low? I want this but simply cannot buy it just now. Are the other Cinerama titles limited to a similar number as well?

There are no limitations on the Cinerama titles. They will just print up more.
I was also thrown off by the "2000 edition" shown at the bottom of the Screen Archives page. But that didn't influence my decision to order this title immediately, as I have done for all the Cinerama titles.

were starting out with 2,000 -and then wait and see what happens

Next week the next TT/SAE ordering comes on line for Nov releases. I do mine then. Oct releases are on the way to me as of the few hours.

I have bought Cinerama soundtrack CDs that have been released in UK.
