Hello,
Sorry for the complete noob question but my inlaws purchased a set of wireless speakers that they wish to connect. They are going to need a new A/V Receiver but I'm not sure what "feature" I'll need to look for to make sure they work as they would like them to. Currently the transmitter(?) for the wireless speakers is connected to the front headphone jack (using a 1/8 to 1/4 adapter). This is fine except when connected this cuts out the wired speakers.
What they would ideally want is an analog audio OUT that plays sound on all sources/inputs (so that if they are playing a CD, online music, bluray, whatever they can listen over the wireless AND wired speakers. The wireless speakers came with a 1/8" connector (looks like the type used in headphones) and a 1/8" to RCA(?) adapter.
I'm not sure if this is as simple as just getting a 7.1 and using the extra channels to power the wireless (as long at the connector type is compatible) or what. Thank you all for your advice!
