The Disclaimer

Standard disclaimer: All prices are taken from the websites of each chain, or from their printed Sunday advertisements. All prices are subject to change by each chain. Prices and inventory in-store may or may not match the website price.

I, obviously, cannot include EVERY title released in a given week in the RoundUp. The titles included are those that I am interested in...as well as those which I consider will be of interest to a majority of consumers (and sometimes I’ll miss one!). I don't get paid for this, and I don't have the time to list every DVD. So, please don't complain! If there is a title not included in the RoundUp that you want to see, PLEASE just look it up yourself, and be nice enough to post and share the results with everyone!

Note that I cannot include Wal-Mart/Sam’s Club prices in the RoundUp. They set prices at individual stores based on nearby competition, so there is no way I can say here what price you'll find at YOUR local Wal-Mart/Sam’s Club location. And, Circuit City is still out of business...even in Hawaii (where they NEVER guaranteed their prices anyway).

I'll be picking up American Horror Story: Coven (my favorite season of the show since it managed to have a good blend of funny things and disgusting things).

At $20 and a bonus disc, Edge Of Tomorrow is looking pretty good.

Thanks for the prices, Mike! :)

Surprised that The Wonder Years S1 will be released this early to regular retailers. I thought Time-Life was keeping it as an exclusive.

I don't think Penny Dreadful is actually out this week, though, unless something's changed and Amazon hasn't been updated yet; they've got it listed as coming out October 14.

Time Life appears to exclusively offer the entire series. Not going for the entire series means having to buy a season at a time.

Longest list of releases I think we've seen in a while; still--only Sleeping Beauty for me this week. I doubt we'll ever see the price any lower than that.

Yes, my press release for Penny Dreadful gives October 14th for the release date; otherwise, I would have been working on the review for it over the weekend instead of the Perry Mason Movie Collection 4 which went up last night (thanks for adding the links for the reviews, Mike, especially that one which I sneaked in last night at the last minute).

I had requested some of Kino's titles out this week (Million Dollar Brain, Topkapi), but they haven't shown up.

Always grateful for the RoundUp!

It appears that the 3D version of EOT does not have the special packaging/extra content at Target/Best Buy. This appears to be increasingly common and a real bummer.

Thanks Mike. Not much is tickling me this week...which is good. I ordered the Halloween set yesterday and have more than a few things on preorder for the end of the year.

Thanks for the Roundup! I have Obvious Child on the way from Amazon this week. I would enjoy getting Edge of Tomorrow -- no, WB, you really can't just change the title of a film after a major theatrical release, as much as you would like to -- but I might just wait for a price drop on that one, since it seems likely to go down before Black Friday is over.

Normally, this week would be all about the Disney Diamond Edition for me, but I'm happily keeping my Sleeping Beauty Platinum. Do better next year, Disney (*cough* Aladdin *cough*.)

Wonder if The Good, The Bad and The Ugly is just the standalone movie BD that was in the recent Sergio Leone set (which contained only the extended cut and a rather...controversial color palette).

I've come full circle and decided that I prefer the theatrical cut (mostly because Eli Wallach's newly dubbed lines don't match his old voice).

Will definitely pick up Edge of Tomorrow, Mulholland Falls and maybe Million Dollar Arm. Thanks for all of your hard work Mike!

A big "you're welcome" to everyone! It was, indeed, a full week this week. I guess I will add Penny Dreadful to next week's WRU, too.

I've got Edge of Tomorrow on its way. I don't think I've got anything else pre-ordered...

I've heard LOTS of good things about Edge of Tomorrow. Looking forward to it.

Bates Motel: Season Two

Wow, I'm shocked this thing actually made it past the pilot let alone 2 seasons.

HEY MIKE, I'll be getting the exclusive BB Edge of Tomorrow.
If the 3D has the extras I'll get that if not I'll get the regular D and the extras and get the 3D version down the road, Mike.
