On 6 or 7 occasions, after powering off my player it gets locked on "BYE". The only way to correct it is to unplug it and restart the player.Does anyone else have this problem with the BDT230? My player has the latest firmware installed.Thanks.

I have an Orei that does that. The typical cause is being "too quick" from stop to off.Once you press stop...wait for it to quit making noise.

You might do a reset to factory settings, sometimes that will clear-up issues with my Panny BD player..

To return to the factory preset.
Select “Yes” in “Restore Default Settings” in
the Setup menu. ( 34)
To return all settings to the factory preset.
Reset the unit as follows:
1 Turn the unit on.
2 Press and hold [OK], the blue button and the
yellow button on the remote control at the
same time for more than 5 seconds.
– “00RET” is displayed on the unit’s display.
3 Press [1] (right) repeatedly on the remote
control until “08FIN” is displayed on the unit’s
display.
4 Press and hold [OK] for more than 5 seconds.
