We set up this screening program to introduce our friends and colleagues to the movies we love. It's also a great way for us to revisit the films on the big screen that are ingrained in the history of 20th Century Fox. We hope you'll join us on Tuesday, October 7th for MRS. DOUBTFIRE.

The location is kept secret, but we can tell you it's at a very notable location in a private screening room.
HTF members are encouraged to bring family and friends to this event. There is a total of 30 slots available. All we ask is that if you commit to the event, please be certain you can attend. When you cancel, you may be taking away a space that could have gone to someone else.

Here is how you can attend....

1. Send a private message to Ronald Epstein. You will find the private message link below my name on the upper corner of this post
2. Please send me the names of all the individuals attending in your party as they appear on their drivers license. There will be a security check.

You can always see how many slots are remaining by checking back on the number below!

I wish they could do these in NorCal, especially since this particular film uses San Francisco locations extensively.

As I am on the East Coast, I will miss this screening as I miss everything out there. But, just curious...why the secrecy of the location, and why a security check? Sounds a bit draconian. It's a legal screening, right?

Of Course it's a legal screening.

At the request of the studio, the location is kept secret.

They probably don't want people just showing up without registering.

To those who where not able to make it to the screening tonight for Mrs Doubtfire it was very nice. 20th Century Fox treated us a 4K DCP presentation that was taken from the original film negatives. It was really nice to see this movie on the big screen and it looked very good! I have no doubt that if Fox uses this scan for new re release of Mrs Doubtfire or a new 4K bluray it will look great. To those who live in Southern California and can make it I highly recommend attending movie night with 20th Century Fox. I would like to thank 20th Century Fox for putting these movie nights on and for letting us come to see these wonderful movies.

Was the new scan of Mrs. Doubtfire released on Blu-ray? As far as I can tell a second Blu-ray came out in March this year, but the only reviews I can find are for the 2008 Blu-ray.

I do not remember anyone at the screening mentioning if that 4K scan was used for the latest blu-ray release.
