Hello everybody,
This is my first post here. I registered specifically to ask you nice folks this noob question. I hope I am in the right category to do so. Here I go.
I recently bought the Samsung flagship when it comes to 4K TVs, the UE65HU8500T. Now I'm in the market for a good home cinema system and because I am a noob I would like it to be "all in a box". Now from what I could read from the Internet, Samsung has a nice system with good reviews although a bit pricey, the HT-F9750W.
Now I know 4K disks and BluRay players will be released late 2015, so one year from now. HT-F9750W is capable of 4K upscaling and "shakes hand" well with my tv but will it play 4K disks or will I have to buy another system in less than a year just to have the real 4K playback experience?
I was just on the phone with Samsung technical support and they told me because it outputs HD content upscaled to 4K then it will be able to read 4K disks when they will become available.
I have my doubts about this and I think they were just trying to put me at ease and buy their £1300 product, but I might be wrong. What do you think?
Thank you for your answers!
