Any one know anything about this film? It will be released in November?
The Burke and Hare story, i recall bits and pieces from many years ago, features Timothy Dalton before he became Bond, it's been so long since i last saw it that i couldn't tell you if i liked it or not, i'd need to view it again for that.

It's an okay movie. Not riveting or scary or even especially good, but it does have some atmosphere.

Yeah, and there's a movie called Burke and Hare, I think.
There has been a few over the years telling this story, the last one was a black comedy.

I recently watched The Flesh and the Fiends (1960, w/Peter Cushing) for my first time, and greatly enjoyed it.

IMDb tells me it was also known as Mania in the U.S., but I'd never known it at all till I came across the DVD a couple of years ago.

If this is the best endorsement of the movie I'll pass on it.

I thought the aforementioned FLESH AND THE FIENDS was the better film on this subject. Don't know whether or not it's still in print.

Dylan Thomas wrote the screenplay for it. How much made it to the screen...I don't know.
Having not read much Dylan Thomas, the only thing remotely poetic about it is the final scene, which is probably one of the few bits of Thomas to survive--
Otherwise, it's rather ugly, without the cool elegance of 60's Hammer, although Dalton and Jonathan Pryce are well-cast.

I saw this on VHS back in the late 80's and remember liking it quite a bit at the time. Has a bit of a Hammer film feel.
