LIFEFORCE (1985) arrow bluray
Cult sci-fi, space vampires drop in on Earth to suck it dry.
£7.99 is temptingly irresistible but have to wait next week to buy it. I have to think of my cat to feed otherwise he'll be plotting and sucking me dry while I sleep.
Opened 5th October 1985 (UK) enjoyed this at the cinema a few times once when it around October 1985 at Gaumont screen 1, Cinerama screen, scope, Dolby Stereo.
Saw it once more later 80's at Cannon screen 2 late night show.
The sound effects was neat on the mix towards the end where Space Girl, hottie (Mathilda May) calls for Carlsen (Steve Railsback) the voice echoes along the rows arrays of surrounds.
I have the region 2 DVD extended cut that I'm not keen on the open titles or the Dolby Stereo mix its okay, I find the theatrical mix to be a bit brute in bass least that was what I can recall when owned the VHS Hi-Fi stereo rental, version and the NICAM version that had all the gritty sound of film texture I might still have the NICAM version and the extended version that was shown around the early 90's late night on ITV.
I'll go for the bluray two versions of the film and enough extras I'm sure will suck me dry me over a day.

The closing titles score was great by Henry Mancini while nymphomaniac space girl was roaming the streets looking for sex, sex and more sex while sucking off every one dry, and looking like, shriveled up zombie prunes.
Academy award winner, John Dykstra, of STAR WARS 1977 had a dazzling light show of visual effects with his own company Apogee.
