I'm trying to get 5.1 output from HT for my DTH channel that are broadcasted in 5.1I have :TV - Sony KLV-40EX430BlueRay Home Theatre - Sony bdv e3100DTH - Tatasky HDFor video, I have no issues but for audio I have a problem playing true 5.1 sound.Since my TV do not support HDMI ARC technology, I'm trying to connect my DTH box (source of 5.1 sound) directly to home theatre. DTH has digital coaxial output (spdif) for audio but I do not have digital coaxial input in home theatre. Rather home theatre has digital optical input (toslink). (Please notice the words coaxial and optical in above context)Well it is like i'm trying to connect coaxial to optical. Now if I convert coaxial signal directly to optical using a converter and fetch the resultant optical output to home theatre will it play true 5.1 sound? Will the optical output be supported or not?Note - My DTH can output 5.1 audio only through HDMI or digital spdif coaxial.Converter (coaxial to optical) mentioned above is like this http://www.ramelectronics.net/product.aspx?zpid=2748Please suggest me other way around if i'm wrong.Thankyou. Waiting for your replies.

The converter mentioned in the notes will workout? Or some other will be required?
