Sony stopped its OLED plans...http://www.cnet.com/news/sony-halts-oled-tv-development-to-focus-on-4k/Yeah, too much uncertainty, curved screens that serve no purposes, questions about screen life, etc. I'm gonna wait it out.McPaul said:I thought Sony was making oldest too? Did they give up on the dream? Sounds like I will be holding off for now. Can't they just make a damn good tv with no gimmicks?

Dear McPaul...if you want to go bigger, I have my 60" Pioneer 1080P monitor (KRP 600M) for sale in the classified listings under the heading "King of Plasmas." Kindly check it out. It would be a definite step up from your 5020. Regards.McPaul said:I have a 5020 which is not top of line kuro but still good. I am pondering going bigger. Is there anything out there that beats it? Keeping in mind were a long way away from 4k content? Thanks!
Dave: How do I post a pic in the classifieds? I can't find the "UI." Help!DaveF said:I also have a 2009 Kuro 5020. I've never had it calibrate. I've wondered if I should get it cal'd now, to breathe new life into it. I've recently heard about the Elite logic board upgrade. If that's even still possible, I've wondered if that's worth the money.I have no plans to upgrade this living room TV, since I want the next step up to be a media room projector. That's what I tell myself to not lust for a 60" living room set.
Sorry Thanks for reminding me, I forgot to get back to you.William Moore said:Dave: How do I post a pic in the classifieds? I can't find the "UI." Help!
I appreciate the pointer William, but I'm in Vancouver. Shipping and border charges would be insane! Best of luck with the sale. What did you replace it with? I'm toying of selling mine as well, ahead of my next move which likely will be soon.William Moore said:Dear McPaul...if you want to go bigger, I have my 60" Pioneer 1080P monitor (KRP 600M) for sale in the classified listings under the heading "King of Plasmas." I'm looking at a 4K LG, 65 inches. I think they have the best technology right now. If you run into a friend here in the states who might be interested in a Pioneer Plasma, you might tell them about mine (unless you put yours up for sale). Thanks!McPaul said:I appreciate the pointer William, but I'm in Vancouver. Shipping and border charges would be insane! Best of luck with the sale. What did you replace it with?
