The Disclaimer

Standard disclaimer: All prices are taken from the websites of each chain, or from their printed Sunday advertisements. All prices are subject to change by each chain. Prices and inventory in-store may or may not match the website price.

I, obviously, cannot include EVERY title released in a given week in the RoundUp. The titles included are those that I am interested in...as well as those which I consider will be of interest to a majority of consumers (and sometimes I’ll miss one!). I don't get paid for this, and I don't have the time to list every DVD. So, please don't complain! If there is a title not included in the RoundUp that you want to see, PLEASE just look it up yourself, and be nice enough to post and share the results with everyone!

Note that I cannot include Wal-Mart/Sam’s Club prices in the RoundUp. They set prices at individual stores based on nearby competition, so there is no way I can say here what price you'll find at YOUR local Wal-Mart/Sam’s Club location. And, Circuit City is still out of business...even in Hawaii (where they NEVER guaranteed their prices anyway).

Gang:

Hopefully, this will be the last Round-Up composed from a hospital room for a verrrrrrrrrrrry long time.

I just had a follow-up procedure to tie up some loose ends from that big medical scare I had back in January & February.

All has gone well and it even looks like I'll be getting home a day ahead of schedule. I will again be home for the next several weeks of recuperation and look forward to hanging with y'all on the HTF!

I'm waiting to see if Ken Burns does a better portrayal of Theodore Roosevelt than John Milius did in The Wind And The Lion.

Glad everything went well and that you will be able to go home early, Mike. Thanks for the RoundUp. It's going above and beyond to do it from the hospital. I think I'll get Godzilla 3D and TBBT at Best Buy to take advantage of their deal. I may also pick up Arrow S2 there. I'll be ordering The Great Train Robbery at some point. Oh, and Ghostbusters I/II. It's a busy week.

Happy to read things are going well for you, Mike. Keep it up. I'd like to take advantage of that Godzilla offer, but can't think of a TV program I want, with the exception of Sherlock 3. I don't want to pay over $30 for it.

Will check out Godzilla from the library; must see what Juliette Binoche is doing in this!

Only thing on this week's roundup we want to bring home for keeps is YOU, Mike! Praying your recovery is complete!

Thanks for the progress report, Mike. Glad to read things are going even better than planned. Good job with the RoundUp, as always.

I'm working on Castle now for review, and I'll jump from it to Bones once Castle review goes up tomorrow evening. There are lots of other Fox titles on the list, but I know it's no secret any more that Fox is being very selective about what (if anything) is being sent to reviewers on physical media.

Get well soon Mike.I think I'll pick up Big Bang Theory season 7 and get Godzilla 3D for $14.99 at Best Buy this week.

I preordered Meteor on Blu-ray several weeks ago. I'm hoping we get more than a mono soundtrack this time around. I guess we'll see.

Thanks for the prices, it's always appreciated. Going to best buy and getting Godzilla and Hannibal season 2. The Best Buy promotion has been hard to pass up these last few weeks.

Guys:

Thanks for all the "likes" and well-wishes. I was stunned to see how many people had liked that 2nd post!

Warms a guy's heart. Truly. Many, many thanks.

Nah, Jason. I haven't written much of anything about it. It all came up kind of fast (even though planned out).

Another major surgery (but elective this time rather than emergency)...but it went really, really well.

And...I missed most of the "who attacked the HTF?" debacle of this week! :biggrin:

======================================

Now I've got a question.

If I were to do this:

Godzilla & Big Bang Theory at BB (for special Godzilla price)

Can I also get another TV show (or two) $14.99 and up and realize even more savings?

That might not be a bad strategy. But I might be better off waiting for any of the new TV sets to show up in used bins.

==================================

Question 2:

Has anyone heard anything about any movement towards a Blu release of this past season's Modern Family? No backlash movement?

I've heard nothing about a movement to get Modern Family released on Blu-ray this year. And certainly the press release I got from Fox indicated DVD only.
