I've noticed a Midnight Special 6-Disc DVD box set will be released this Tuesday (and will be on sale at Best Buy). Does anyone know the difference in content for this package from the 11-Disc collector's edition available directly from Time/Life? There is a listing of everything included in the 11-Disc set on the T/L website, but I would like to know what, if anything, will not be included on the 6-Disc edition.

Best Buy lists the time on their $59 set as 960 minutes, whereas Amazon lists their $59 version as only 505 minutes, which suggests the Best Buy version is the 11-disc version, but who knows. They also are selling a 3-hour version. Maybe that's what you get when you cut out all the Helen Reddy.

This one's a no-brainer for me. Me and my older brother used to stay up every Friday night just to get a glimpse of some of our favorite recording acts (yes, even Helen Reddy!).

I enjoyed this show (I even tried to get a production job on it), but it was the watered down short sets version of ABC's much better Friday night "In Concert" series. Where is THAT on DVD?

So much anti-Helen Reddy sentiment. Poor old Ruby Red Dress born on a sorry day.
I'm a huge fan of Helen Reddy (even saw her in concert), but even I've never warmed to that particular song.

I spotted the 6-disc version at my local Best Buy today (I believe it said 505 minutes for the running time). It was only $45, but I passed on it because I want the full 11-disc set. I'd prefer to have the actual full episodes themselves, but I don't see that happening any time soon. As for Helen Reddy, I loved most of her big hits, especially "Angie Baby":)

The 6-disc version is on sale at Costco for $28.99 along with a bonus disc "exclusive to Costco members." I would be interested in picking this up, but looking at what's on the 11-disc version, I feel like that's the one I want. UNLESS the seventh disc on the Costco set was made up of comedic material found in the 11-disc version but not the "standard" 6-disc version.

Long story short: Anybody know what's on disc 7 of the Costco version?
