Any chance of this ever happening on DVD?
It was a tv staple through the mid 1990's (I last saw it on the Discovery Channel where it was a regular part of their schedule for several years) and then vanished.
Was excellent and seemed to be well liked. Would love to own it on DVD. I only have a few bits and pieces on old VHS tapes.
I was spoiled by well produced series like this. Can't stomach what passes for historical documentaries today on channels like the "History" Channel, the Military Channel, etc. Good ones seem to come out these days only once in a blue moon, such as a special about the Boeing 747 that aired on the Smithsonian Channel a few months back.
