So I currently have a 42" Panasonic 720p plasma (the X1 series). Purchased in 2009. Have never had a problem and still love it. With all the major players giving up on plasma *cries* I would really like to upgrade to a 60" before prices start to skyrocket and maybe relegate this one to the bedroom. Smart is not needed because we have an Apple TV and 3D, while potentially cool, isn't a necessity either. I basically just want the best value for picture quality. If it is also Smart or 3D that's just a bonus. Because of my limited budget it seems my best bet is an LG60PB6900 or the 6650. Does anyone have any experience with these sets or have a different suggestion? Trying to keep it under $800.

Is Panasonic out of the Plasma market? I hadn't thought about it, but maybe I should get a better/newer one now for the same reasons.

Hello: I have my Pioneer KRP600M plasma monitor for sale in the classifieds. It is truly reference grade. Unfortunately, I can't sell it for $800, but I might be persuaded to make you a deal and give a healthy discount off my asking price. Check it out if you're interested. Thanks!

You can find F5300 owners at the www.avsforum.com site if you want feedback.

One thread talks about an A) and B) panels. The B panel is manufactured in 2014, and supposedly has better blacks.
