New camera due to mishap with my other Fujifilm Finpix S4400, that slipped out of my hand due to the rubber sieve that is stuck to the right hand side of the camera. I'm sure most will have similar troubles.
Camera hand strap will be the next item to buy so I don't have repeat.
My dad got me online a new model as my other one was birthday present a last year.
My other Fujifilm A160 took the picture and funny how the box as I keep them is larger for small camera than the others that have smaller boxes.
So far I tried some Tripod star photography but failed to get anything in the way as decent last night 2nd September 2013 and had to delete the pictures. I guess its trail and error to find the setting and some more reading though the uses manual CD-ROM that covers more details than the basic read though manual.
The lens is x50 over my S4400 previous that was x28.
Memory card is 16gb
A few other outdoor night shots I took but not too happy with glare and may have to find a technique/setting to capture what I'm seeing.
A view looking up the road with sodium street lights I purposely aimed at the lights to see the results.
Stopped nearby the Co-Op shop to see how good the night time mode was and Adv, (advance). All I was getting is too dark or too much light from the lights inside the shop that was over exposing the details behind as I can clearly see even from 80 feet away with my eyes.
Inside I used Text mode on the camera that had no troubles with the overhead tube lights.
The Motion Panorama 360 degrees is neat camera feature.
The flash was bit too close as I can see seating and my cats eyes are bit too bright. I should have stood back a bit and used zoom in and then camera flash.
