There are much better behind-the scenes TV movies (back during the 90's post-"Growing Up Brady" craze for rerun-tellall books)
"Return to the Batcave" is the most fondly remembered, the Brady adaptation was okay, "Surviving Gilligan's Island" was surprisingly reverential, and VH-1 had a BTS "Daydream Believers" on the Monkees.
As to why Lifetime (and not even LMN), I haven't a clue--What, was Diamond's daughter dating a secret serial killer?
(And if I was trying to think up some joke about "Didn't we already have a cable Saved by the Bell movie called 'High School Musical'?", would that reference be too old?)

I saw part of this yesterday, as I was switching back and forth between this and the football game. I thought it would have painted the rest of the SBTB cast in a very bad light, but surprisingly, they were not nearly as bad as I thought it would be. Then again, I did not see the entire thing.
There was no resolution with the blackmailing extra. And no mention of some of the cast's current work, when Diamond did that Zach freeze towards the end, and did a little "update".

I thought the blackmailing was made moot because the show was cancelled but it was a little difficult to follow the exact timeline. Or that the studio took care of the problem and due to real world litigation, the actual resolution cannot be discussed by anyone.
I think the movie needed to be 3 hours long instead of 90 minutes if they wanted to give a real sense of the the deal with the devil child actors make where the studios and networks control their lives and a full sense of the good and bad of being famous, while being paid only a small fraction of the total value they bring. Instead we only got snippets of some of the major issues without the full background and resolution.
