Anyone have a list of when Dolby Atmos titles will start arriving? (1 Viewer)

They will come out after all the 2014 titles I want in Atmos - Godzilla, Edge of Tomorrow, and Planet of the Apes - have already been released :/

More and more, I am thinking that the first titles to come out in Atmos will be re-issues of those films, coming quickly on the heels of the original releases. I would bet, for example, on seeing Godzilla and Pacific Rim released ASAP on Atmos, but I don't think Warner will have the audio ready in time for the former's initial BD release next month, so I wouldn't be surprised to see these come along again in time for the holidays, possibly in movie-only editions.

But who knows? Personally, I don't see these Atmos BDs coming until the holidays, or early 2015 at the earliest. As I understand it, Dolby has yet to even issue a demo disc or activate the feature in the hardware that is compatible.

Denon AVR's with Atmos enabled began shipping a few days ago and are in user hands. Other CE's are, indeed, awaiting software activation.

Dolby seems to be letting the studios handle those announcements. I would guess we would see some things announced around CEDIA.

Yes, Denon and Pioneer hardware is shipping. I think it is possible that Transformers 4 is in Atmos since Paramount is specifying a Dolby True HD track for the audio.

Received a Press Release yesterday indicating that Transformers: Age Of Extinction will be the first Dolby Atmos encoded Blu-Ray.

Great sound, piece of trash movie though.

Sigh. I'll buy it.
