Hi all, first post here. I just bought a set of speakers and subwoofer off of a friend: The Edifier S550 for £220. I want to set this up so that all 5 speakers work with the TV. At the moment, I have 2 front and 1 centre speakers hooked to the sub-amp. From the sub-amp I have a lead linking the Aux to the audio jack in the TV. I have this 6 lead cable with 6 leads (3x red and 3x white) on each end. I know where to put the 6 lead cables on the side into the sub amp, but what do I need to put the other 6 leads in?

Thanks very much. Really sorry if you don't understand what I'm saying, this is my first time trying to set up a sound system.

JC

Edit: I basically want it so that my Xbox One/360, Sky box all work on the 5.1 system f that is possible

That speaker system is not capable of doing what you want it to do.

It has two inputs - the AUX input is stereo only, which is all you are ever going to get OUT of your display. No matter what sources you connect to your TV, and no matter what means you use to connect them to your TV, when using any audio output from your TV all you will get is simple 2.0 stereo.

The multichannel input is what you would need to use in order to get sound from all the speakers in this system, but this system depends on an external device to decode the digital surround sound signal into the each of the six discrete audio channels (it will not decode any 5.1 audio stream) - and none of the sources you list are capable of doing this.

Since you have multiple sources and NO A/V Receiver, connecting your sources to the TV, and using the TVs audio output is the only option available to you and this approach will not allow you to hear true 5.1 audio.

What you need is a real receiver and speaker system with enough inputs to support all the sources you wish to connect. That's the best way to hear true 5.1 from multiple sources.

First of all. RX-V anything is an AVR, not an amp. Don't call AVR an amp.2nd. You have SELF POWERED speakers. Ie, your speakers are self powered by their INTERNAL amp.Third...Your link is broken.
