"Is it safe?"

With a main title sequence protected to 1.66, I'm betting that the master used to create WB's new Blu-ray of Marathon Man has been re-purposed from cable.

But that's the only negative point to the release, which, while not perfect, is well-rendered, and fills a huge void, as this is an important, beautifully produced, and highly entertaining film, that stands the test of time.

The film has the appearance of being taken from an IP, with color, densities, grain structure, shadow detail, all being within normal ranges, creating a quality Blu-ray experience.

Another standout film for every serious library. The comments on the source of the Blu-ray are very interesting, and something that you really only see here at HTF! Thanks.
