John Charles Daly of What's My Line? (1950-1967) fame.

His voce was terrific for the pilot episode of Green Acres, and the opening to Bye Bye Birdie.

Morgan Freeman is "the voice of God", right?  Nobody wants Morgan Freeman?  Or James Earl Jones?

I'd go with David Janssen. If we can't bring him back from the spirit world, then Tom Selleck.

they would  be perfect for the baby years and maybe childhood, perhaps too the guy who voices and sings in Little Mermaid ("Unda da seeeea...."), it would be as sweet as can be...  but as soon as I got into high school the whole damn tone would have to change!  Mel Brooks or Albert Brooks would actually be perfect at that point!

James:  THAT would be Samuel E. Wright.

There's Jessie the yodeling cowgirl. Bullseye, he's Woody's horse. Pete the old prospector. And, Woody, the man himself.Of course, it's time for Woody's RoundUp. He's the very best! He's the rootinest, tootinest cowboy in the wild, wild west!

That's not who I thought it was.  But the voice is right on!

 Full disclosure.  I had to look it up.  All I could come up with in my head was Ben E. King...and I knew that wasn't right.

It's hell to get old.
