Right now on HBO-Go !!! First time I have seen this on TV!!! in correct A.R. !!!.
Unfortunately not. The DVD is non-anamorphic 4x3 from the laserdisc master, so this current HBO copy (which played on Cinemax earlier in the year), is probably the best it's ever looked for home viewing.Sean Bryan said:This hasn't had a proper release on Blu-ray yet, has it?
I'm not sure if it's a contractual obligation or a courtesy to the filmmaker by the studio, but the hold up has been that Cameron wants/needs to approve the master for a disc. There have been some rumors posted on other threads here and on the Digital Bits website that he may get a chance to look at the masters this fall before shooting starts on the new "Avatar" movies, and if that happened, maybe we'd see discs for this (and "True Lies") next year.Sean Bryan said:Is there a clear, known reason why this has been shafted on DVD and BD?Has Cameron held it up because he wants to do a remaster or something but he just hasn't had time?
Thanks. I figured it was something like that.Josh Steinberg said:I'm not sure if it's a contractual obligation or a courtesy to the filmmaker by the studio, but the hold up has been that Cameron wants/needs to approve the master for a disc.
