Can "app sound" leave the TV?

Is Samsung listed in the Denon manual as a compatible brand(in relation to CEC/ARC)

After Googling this issue(you can find and read yourself, if you care)...

Run a Toslink. Problem solved (like it is every singe time "help ARC doesn't work" is brought up).

schan1269 thanks for the effort. I was afraid that the answer was run an optical, just wanted the ARC to work and I wonder why it does'nt.

Cause it and CEC(which has to work for ARC to work) is a flawed premise.

Just another answer to questions nobody asked.

Supposedly...CEC/ARC become become "standards" on HDMI 2.0(they are not a "standard" on 1.3/1.4). Not holding my breath.

Hopefully with several AVR manufacturers including AptX(part of BlueTooth) and TV manufacturers adopting it...we can forget ARC ever existed.

By the way....if the E400 has Bluetooth...

There are Chinese made Toslink to BlueTooth adapters(and they are meant for TV use) for roughly $30.

Not seen any that support more than 2.1 though(as you need AptX to get to 5.1).
