Are there any good DVD transfers of this Sterling Hayden western ? I know its a public domain title with many options . But is there a decent DVD ?
Olive released DENVER & RIO GRAND about three years ago in both DVD and Blu-ray. Copies are available at Amazon. It is a pretty good transfer.Vic Pardo said:I'm a big fan of train movies and I like this one, as well as DENVER & RIO GRANDE (1952), also with Sterling Hayden. I do wish there were good transfers of both films. I've seen only seen KANSAS PACIFIC on a p.d. DVD and DENVER only on VHS taped off TNT 20-odd years ago.
That's good to know, thanks for the heads-up!ahollis said:Olive released DENVER & RIO GRAND about three years ago in both DVD and Blu-ray. Copies are available at Amazon. It is a pretty good transfer.
Before placing your order, check the price at Deep Discount.. They're selling it for less than most other sellers.Vic Pardo said:That's good to know, thanks for the heads-up!
The Mill Creek Combat Classics set has KANSAS PACIFIC on it. Don't know if this is the VCI transfer or not.borisfw said:I also have Denver &the Rio Grande . Very nice transfer by Olive .
I noticed on the imdb that VCI released Kansas Pacific on vhs back in 2000 . I wonder if they will release it at some point on dvd ?
