Both cuts are the "director's cut" as Cameron has final cut on his movies. Will it be the theatrical or the special edition?

Although, Cameron was still quite constrained on the theatrical cut in a creative sense, as the studio mandated at least fifteen minutes be removed from his preferred version, due to running-time concerns. The 1991 and 2010 versions are basically "the ride [he] always intended [us] to take" (as he says in the DVD introduction).

"Pablo, please take Chet's corpse into the other room, and then fix Mr. Hallenbeck a drink."

The 2K presentation was actually really good especially considering the large screen size it held up very well.  It would have been awsome if it had a 4K restoration and been remixed in Dolby Atmos as the Fox theater was set up for Atmos.  But I think we all enjoyed the movie with the 2k resolution as it looked great and it was like seeing it all over again for the first time.  The audience was really into this movie and it was fun for all!   :D  When they talked a little about the movie before it started it they joked about it not being in 4K and I think most people got a good chuckle over it.  I would like to thank Fox for letting us come to see Aliens and I look forward to doing that again.  If anyone has the chance to go to movie night at Fox I highly recommend it.
