Wonder if this will have the British as well as Amreican subtitles. Always watch the DVD with the British subs on. I think my DVD also has a choice of British or A,merican English soundtracks. I would definitely want an BD of this to havethe British soundtrack and subs.

How is there a different soundtrack? Did the actors dub different tracks?

Or are you talking music?

Like the Scottish Gregory's Girl, they did another dubbing to eradicate the Scottish accents so Americans can understand the dialogue. They have done it on other films from there also such as That Sinking Feeling. They used to redub the dialogue on Australian movies shown in USA. Even Dirk Borgarde related that when he made his first films in London after the war, he went into a theater to see them with a friend and was shocked to find his voice had been overdubbed and he was not told.

The Full Monty was also a stage play which was staged in Australia but did not do too good but it should have. I saw it and liked the performances. The lady playing the piano in that stage show is the same age as my Mother(86) and at around 14 they both worked in the same stage theater during the War.

I look forward to the Blu Ray. I see no trailer is listed as such. In theory, the partner to The Full Monty is Brassed Off.

The stage musical was a moderate success. I saw it on tour in DFW. I was on the front row, and when the guys did the full monty, very bright lights lit up from the back of the stage and nearly blinded me so you really could not see the naughty bits. Very sneaky.

I found the stage musical very entertaining, and had it not had the bad fortune to come out the same season that The Producers swept almost every Tony category winning a total of twelve awards before the evening was over, I think The Full Monty would have garnered a few of those awards on its own.

I went to school with one of the stars.

Not my favourite British film, but a good laugh, and an accurate depiction of parts of Yorkshire at the time.

Hate to tell you, but The Guard is most definitely available on Blu-Ray in the US from Sony Pictures Home Entertainment.

Back to The Full Monty, so glad Fox is bringing it out. Also glad they dropped the horrible subtitle from the DVD days (Fully Exposed Edition seemed so awful then and it is even worse now).
