I wonder why it's listed as "Limited Edition"? Packaging? Some goodies in the box?

I think I'll have to wait until the press release before I click. I want to ensure that I'm ordering a super deluxe set with extra goodies (if there's to be one) rather than a bare-bones edition.

One other possibility: that the press-run of the blu-ray version will be limited to a certain number of units...

That would certainly be one way for WB to combat those of us (myself included) who wait for price drops!

Exactly!  Placed mine earlier today. :)

I've gotten to where I *always* pre-order from Amazon as they'll automatically drop your price should theirs go lower and if a price doesn't drop to my liking it's easy to cancel.  Price protection at its best!

Well, what the heck, I went ahead and placed the pre-order. :)

I've waited almost 50 years for this to transpire. If anyone had told me back in 1966 that someday I'd be able to own the whole series, with perfect color and sound, in a package smaller than my lunch box, with extra features, and for a price that would probably be less than what a pristine 35mm film print of ONE episode would sell for on the collector's market, I would have thought that they smoking something.

Those covers are just terrible - anyone recognize the photo from the DVD box? Looks off - could it be a colorized B&W image? The Blu-Ray isn't any better with pix from two different shots.

I said it in another thread but I doubt they're the actual covers.

I hope this isn't the final covers, because if so then WB art dept must be lazy as all get out, something as big as Batman and they're going to give it an amature photoshop slackjob. WB covers of lately lack if they don't use the original posters.
