While not as many titles as previous years, there are some interesting films:
HAMLET
OKLAHOMA!
THE AGONY AND THE ECSTASY
RYAN'S DAUGHTER
CHEYENNE AUTUMN
AROUND THE WORLD IN 80 DAYS.
All of these are said to be 70mm prints except the DCP presentation of OKLAHOMA!
I am definitely going to see RYAN'S DAUGHTER and AROUND THE WORLD IN 80 DAYS, though I wonder
if the latter is from the original 30 frames per second release or the shortened 24 fps 70mm version released
later?
They are also showing FALL OF THE ROMAN EMPIRE this Sunday (not part of this series) though in 35mm. Would love to see a 70mm print of that.
I am guessing this may be the last round for some of these prints and I am not expecting them to be pristine, but this may be the last chance to see and hear these films in their original format.
